Lancashire Youth Folk Ensemble

I am really exited to announce that I have been appointed as Musical Director of the Lancashire Youth Folk Ensemble. The inclusive ensemble is open to all young people in Lancashire who play an instrument and are interested in playing folk music from the North West of England and beyond.
​
There are a team of great tutors heading up the group including Lancaster based musician Nick Reay and the very talented Mikey Kenney.

Having worked with Clare Douglas in the past with Mike Harding's Willam Small Small Orchestra I was really impressed by her new tunebook of self composed tunes based on the Settle area of North Yorkshire. We have recorded duo arrangements of the whole book and the album in Launched at the end of August. Clare is a great musician and lovely composer and I am really enjoying our coollaboration.
